We do not publish a single load limit because the working weight depends on panel size, glass thickness, and how the door is hung. The 698 is designed for typical frameless commercial doors of 8-12 mm glass, where the bottom patch carries the vertical load while the top fitting guides the swing. For heavier or oversized panels, send drawings and we will recommend the right layout.

Yes. The bottom patch is commonly used with floor springs or pivot sets on frameless commercial doors: the fitting clamps the bottom edge of the glass while the floor unit takes the main load. Confirm your pivot or spindle dimensions with us and we will check that the fixing layout lines up with the patch holes.

That is the standard pairing. Both are made from the same 304 or 316 stainless, share the same 8-12 mm glass range, and are available in the same finishes, so the set looks uniform. If you would rather buy one kit, items 699 and 704 bundle the top and bottom together.

In 304 it is fine for indoor doors. If the site is coastal, near a pool, or otherwise wet, order the 316 version - same look, better salt resistance. All stock finishes hold up to normal cleaning with mild soap and water; avoid abrasive pads on the brushed surfaces.

Lead time is 15-25 days. You can order 1 pc as a sample (a sample fee may apply), 50 pcs as a standard order, and 500 pcs for OEM or custom logo work. Mixed finishes in one order are fine - just note the quantity per finish.
