Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between this drill-free channel and the 710 profile?
Both are aluminum clamping channels for 8-10 mm glass with no drilling required. The 711 is configured as a channel system - designed for runs where panels sit in a continuous track rather than being clamped point-by-point. Pick the one that matches your installation method; both hold the same glass range.
What is the standard length of the channel?
The standard length is 6 meters, and we cut to your sizes on request. For a continuous run, order the channel in full sticks and cut the last piece to fit; for shorter sections we can pre-cut all pieces so site work is just assembly.
Which glass does the channel accept?
8-10 mm glass. The channel and gasket geometry is fixed for that range, so panels outside it will not seat properly. This covers most frameless door and partition panels. If you need a different range, send us the thickness and we will point you to the right profile.
Do I still need silicone or gaskets with this channel?
Yes. The channel positions the glass, but a sealing strip or silicone bead along the edge stops rattling and keeps water out. In dry interiors the supplied gasket is usually enough; in showers or exteriors use neutral-cure silicone and check the drainage so water does not pool in the channel.
Can this channel be used on a curved or angled glass run?
As a straight extrusion, the channel follows straight runs only. For angled corners you mitre-cut the channel at the joint and seal the corner. Curved glass would need a custom bending job - tell us the radius and we will tell you whether it is feasible.
What are the order terms for the channel?
1 pc sample (sample fee may apply), 50 pcs standard, 500 pcs for OEM, custom logo, or custom color. Lead time is 15-25 days. State your cut lengths and finish when ordering so we can batch the extrusion and finishing in one run.
