It refers to how the spigot is fixed: the glass panel has a hole drilled through it (a core-drilled hole), and the spigot passes through the hole to clamp the glass from both sides, typically connecting to the floor or a bracket below. This gives a clean, through-glass fixing — you see the round spigot body on top of the glass instead of a clamp gripping the edge.

The hole size depends on the spigot diameter and must be slightly larger than the spigot barrel, with a small clearance for glass movement. Confirm the spigot model when you order and we'll give you the exact hole diameter and edge distances. The hole must be cut before tempering per the fabricator's pattern — never drill tempered glass on site.

This spigot is available in both 304 and 316. 316 is recommended when the railing is outdoors, near the sea, or in a pool hall where chlorine and salt attack the surface; 304 is fine for indoor staircases and balconies in normal climates. Since the spigot holds the whole panel, the material choice is a long-term corrosion decision — tell us the site and we'll recommend.
