Is the zinc alloy version strong enough for a frameless shower door?
Zinc alloy is a die-cast material that handles the clamping load of typical frameless shower doors in the 8–12mm glass range, which is why it is widely used in this product category. For large, heavy 12mm doors with daily swinging, stainless steel gives more margin. If your door is oversized, send the glass size and weight and we will recommend the right material for the project.
Can I mix materials in one order, for example zinc clamps plus stainless screws?
Yes, the hardware and body can be specified separately. Most clients ordering the zinc body ask for stainless steel screws so the fasteners do not corrode, which we can arrange. If the whole clamp must be one material for a specification, say stainless steel throughout, we will quote that as a separate line so the price is clear.
How does the zinc body hold up in a humid bathroom long-term?
The zinc body is plated to protect it from bathroom humidity, and with the plating intact it performs well in normal shower use. What kills any clamp in a bathroom is a scratched plating letting moisture reach the base metal, so avoid abrasive cleaning.
