Frequently Asked Questions
What glass thickness does this wall-to-glass clamp accept?
This wall-to-glass clamp is built for 8–12mm tempered glass, which covers the vast majority of frameless shower doors and bathroom partitions. The rubber gaskets inside the jaws adapt to the actual thickness, so 8, 10, or 12mm glass all clamp firmly without metal-to-glass contact. If your project uses thicker or laminated glass, send us the exact thickness before ordering and we will confirm fit.
Can this clamp also join two pieces of glass, or is it strictly wall-to-glass?
This one is strictly a wall-to-glass fitting: the back plate mounts to the wall and the jaws clamp one glass panel. For joining two panels at 90° you need a glass-to-glass clamp, and for hinged doors you need a door clamp. We produce all three types in the same finish range, so you can order the wall clamps for fixed panels and glass-to-glass clamps for the corner in one shipment and the set will match.
How is the clamp fixed to the wall, and what should the installer prepare?
The clamp is fixed through the back plate with stainless screws into the wall substrate; the anchor type depends on your wall. On tile-over-brickwork use expansion anchors, on drywall you should add backing or use toggle anchors. The wall surface must be flat and able to take the panel load before you tighten the clamp. We ship the screws and gaskets with the clamp, but anchors are chosen by the installer based on site conditions.
Is this clamp made of stainless steel all through, including the screws?
Yes, the body, cover caps, and fixing screws are stainless steel, which is what makes the clamp suitable for the wet shower environment. The visible cover is machined and polished before the surface finish is applied, so the final look stays clean even after years of water exposure. If your site is coastal or high-chlorine, ask about the 316 grade option instead of standard 304.
Which surface finishes can I get on this wall clamp?
Standard finishes are brushed nickel, chrome, brushed bronze, and gun gray, with custom colors available for larger runs. The finish is applied to the metal before assembly, so the covers and the clamp body match. For one or two sample pieces we keep chrome and brushed nickel in stock; bronze and gun gray usually need to be made to order.
What is the lead time and minimum order for this clamp?
One sample piece is available with a sample fee, the standard order is 50 pcs, and OEM orders with your logo start at 500 pcs. Production time is 15–25 days depending on quantity and finish, plus shipping. If you are quoting a full shower project, send the panel layout and quantity of wall clamps, glass-to-glass clamps, and door clamps together and we will give you a combined lead time.
