Frequently Asked Questions
This is a wall mount clamp — what does the wall side look like and how does it install?
The wall side is a flat back plate with screw holes that mounts flush to the wall, and the glass side clamps the panel between padded jaws. The plate covers the screw heads after installation for a clean look. The wall needs a flat, solid surface; tile over concrete or brick is straightforward, and drywall requires proper anchors because the clamp carries the glass panel load.
Is the clamp body really 304 stainless steel, not zinc with a stainless finish?
The body, covers, and screws of this model are stainless steel 304, not plated zinc. The 304 grade gives it the corrosion resistance you want in a wet bathroom, and it keeps its surface even if the clamp gets scratched during installation. The 'Stainless Steel 304' in the title is the material, not a color name. For salt-air or chlorine environments we can switch to 316.
What glass thickness does this wall mount clamp fit?
It fits 8–12mm tempered glass, the standard range for frameless shower enclosures. The rubber gaskets sit against the glass so the clamping force spreads across the panel instead of concentrating on one point. If your panel is outside that range, send the actual glass thickness and we will check whether the jaw opening can be adjusted for it.
Can these clamps be used for a ceiling-to-glass or floor-to-glass fixing as well?
The clamp is designed as a wall-to-glass fitting, but the same body works where a fixed panel meets a solid post or a shelf header, as long as the mounting surface is flat. It is not a floor mount — for floor fixing you would use a u-channel or a dedicated floor clamp. Describe your exact fixing point and we will confirm the right piece.
How many clamps do I need for a typical fixed shower panel?
For a fixed partition panel, installers normally use two wall clamps along the vertical edge, spaced at about one-third and two-thirds of the panel height, plus a bottom channel or spacer if the floor is uneven. Large panels may take a third clamp. The exact count depends on panel size, so send us the panel height and width and we will give you a recommendation.
