Frequently Asked Questions
Why use zinc alloy instead of stainless steel for this lock?
Zinc alloy casts into a finished lock body at lower cost than machining stainless, so this is the budget-friendly option for residential shower doors with light traffic. Strength is adequate for standard frameless shower panels, not for heavy commercial doors.
Will the finish survive a damp bathroom?
The zinc body is plated - brushed nickel, chrome, or matte black - and the plating protects the surface in normal bathroom humidity. It is not the right choice for salt-air coastal bathrooms or heavy wet zones; for those, take the 304 stainless version.
What glass does it fit?
It is designed for typical frameless shower and bathroom glass panels. Confirm your glass thickness when ordering so we supply the right clamp gaskets and bolt length; we do not recommend it for very heavy or oversized panels.
How do I choose between this and the stainless steel shower lock?
If the budget is tight and the door is a standard residential shower, zinc alloy is fine. If the bathroom stays steamy all day, is coastal, or the lock gets heavy use, pay the difference for the 304 model - it will outlast the plated zinc.
Does the clamp scratch the glass?
No. Both clamp faces carry rubber gaskets that sit between the metal and the glass, so the panel is not scratched and the clamp load is spread instead of point-loaded on the edge.
What are the MOQ and lead time?
Sample is 1 pc (sample fee may apply), standard order 50 pcs, and OEM orders start at 500 pcs. Lead time is 15-25 days. Custom finishes and logos follow the OEM bracket.
