Can this lock really be used on a sliding glass door?
Yes. It is made for frameless sliding doors where one glass panel meets or overlaps another. The lock body mounts on one panel and the bolt engages the keeper on the second panel, so the sliding leaves stay locked shut instead of drifting open.
How do the glass-to-glass fixings work?
Both the lock body and the keeper clamp to their own glass panels with stainless plates and rubber gaskets - no exposed screws through the glass face. The gaskets protect the glass edge and keep the clamp tight against vibration from repeated sliding.
Does it suit a double sliding door?
Yes, it is designed for double-leaf sliding doors: lock the active leaf to the stationary leaf at the meeting stile so both panels are held. Depending on door height and traffic you may want locks at top and bottom, or a single center lock.
What material and finishes are available?
The lock is 304 stainless in brushed nickel, chrome, or matte black, with custom colors on 500-pc OEM orders. For coastal or poolside glazing we can quote 316 grade. Finishes are applied after machining so edges match.
How is this different from a lock for pivot doors?
A sliding-door lock has to handle lateral load as panels slide and stop, so the clamp and keeper geometry is built for that movement. Pivot-door locks are loaded differently. Use this model on sliding systems and our other clamp locks for pivot doors.
What are the MOQ and lead time?
