Frequently Asked Questions
How does a glass-to-wall lock get installed?
The lock body clamps to the glass edge and the strike plate mounts on the adjacent wall or frame, so the door locks against the wall rather than into another glass panel. This is the layout when one side of the opening is a solid partition.
What does the wall side need?
The strike fixes to the wall with screws or anchors, so the wall must be solid and thick enough to hold them. We supply the drilling template and anchor spec with the product; masonry or stud walls need the matching anchor type.
What glass thickness does it fit?
It fits standard frameless panels, typically 8-12mm tempered glass. Confirm the glass thickness when ordering so we size the clamp gaskets and bolts correctly. The strike and clamp gaskets are matched to the panel edge so the bolt travels square into the keeper.
What material and finishes are available?
The lock and strike are 304 stainless in brushed nickel, chrome, or matte black, with custom colors on 500-pc OEM orders. For coastal or humid sites we can quote 316.
How is it different from a glass-to-glass lock?
The glass-side clamp is the same idea, but the keeper is built for wall mounting instead of clamping a second glass panel. Choose based on what the door closes against - another panel, or a solid wall.
What are the MOQ and lead time?
Sample is 1 pc (sample fee may apply), standard order 50 pcs, and OEM orders start at 500 pcs. Lead time is 15-25 days. Include your door swing direction so we confirm which side the lock body goes on.
