The trade-off is maintenance: brass tarnishes in steam if the protective coating is damaged. If the project is about the look, brass is worth it; if it is about zero maintenance, pick the SUS304 version.

It is designed for standard frameless shower doors in 8-12mm tempered glass. Two hinges handle a typical single door panel; use three for tall or wide panels. Rather than guessing at a weight rating, send the glass dimensions and we will confirm the hinge count for your door. The clamp plates are sized so the load spreads across the glass without concentrating stress at the holes.

The glass is clamped between two plates with rubber gaskets and fixed with through-bolts through pre-drilled holes. Drilling must be done before the glass is tempered - we provide the hole pattern with the order. Align both leaves, torque the bolts evenly and check the door swings level. Count on roughly 15-25 minutes per hinge for an experienced installer.

For steam-heavy bathrooms, satin finishes - brushed nickel and gun gray - are the practical pick because they hide water spots and fingerprints between cleanings. Brushed Bronze and chrome are also available, and custom colors can be matched to your fixtures on OEM orders. All finishes are applied over the body in our factory; the satin options just look better under hard use.
