Yes, the clamp takes 8–12mm tempered glass. The jaw gap adjusts to the panel thickness and the rubber gaskets fill the difference, so the same clamp works for 8, 10, and 12mm. Just tell us the glass thickness on your order so we pre-set the gasket size and you do not have to shim it on site.

No, the glass is only ever in contact with rubber gaskets inside the jaws. The clamp is designed so the metal cannot touch the glass even when the screws are fully tightened, which protects the tempered edge from chips. Chipped edges are a real risk on frameless doors because they can propagate through tempered glass, so this matters in daily use.

This unit is made for a 90° corner join. If your layout has an angled corner, an offset corner, or panels that meet at 135°, we have angled or adjustable clamp types for those situations — describe the angle in degrees and we will match the right connector. A 90° clamp forced onto an angled joint will not close cleanly.
