What does the swivel on this connector do?
It lets you rotate the two glass panels relative to each other during installation and lock them at the working angle with set screws. This is useful where the structure is slightly out of square and you need a few degrees of take-up. Once locked, the connector holds the panels rigid.

Do I choose 304 or 316 stainless for this connector?
304 for indoor frameless glass systems - offices, malls, partitions. Choose 316 when the hardware sits near the coast, in a pool hall, or anywhere salt and moisture reach the metal. Both versions share the same swivel design and finish options, so the upgrade is purely about corrosion resistance.
Is this a drilling or clamping connector?
Drilling. The glass is drilled with our template and the connector bolts through with gaskets on both faces. We supply the template with the order; make sure it reaches your glass fabricator before the panels are tempered, because hardened glass cannot be drilled.
How much structure does it add to the glass system?
The connector locks panels into position and transfers loads between them, which tightens up the whole frameless assembly. Exact fixing spacing depends on panel size and usage, so send us your dimensions for a recommendation - we do not publish a generic max load figure because the working layout decides it.
Can I get custom finishes on the 709?
Brushed nickel, chrome, and matte black are stock. Custom colors are possible on OEM orders with a 500 pc minimum. Because it comes from the same finishing line as our patch fittings, the tone will match the rest of your door hardware.
