Frequently Asked Questions

How does this bar reduce vibration on a frameless door?

Frameless doors have no frame to tie the glass to the wall, so the door flexes and shakes when opened. The stabilizer bar is a rigid link between the glass and the wall or another panel; once clamped, it locks the panel in position and stops the shake along the panel.

Where is it installed on the shower?

Typically horizontally near the top of the fixed glass panel, or on the door itself when the door is tall. On wall-to-glass setups it ties the panel back to the tiled wall; on glass-to-glass setups it ties the moving door to the fixed panel.

Does the adjustable version really help on site?

Yes, that is its main advantage. Because walls and floors are rarely square, the adjustable length lets the installer fine-tune the bar after the glass is up, instead of waiting for a re-cut fixed bar. The thread is then locked so it cannot loosen in use.

What materials is it made from?

SS304, brass and zinc alloy are the standard options, with SS316 available on request. For a wet shower environment SS304 is the workhorse; brass is chosen when the finish needs to match bronze-toned fittings in the bathroom.

Can I order custom lengths?

Yes, the bar is produced to the measured span. Send the distance between mounting points and the glass thickness, and we confirm the drawing before production. Samples start at 1 pc and the lead time is 15-25 days.
