SUS304 resists corrosion well in normal bathroom conditions - steam, soap residue, and daily wiping. Our hardware is made for wet environments and we check the surface on every batch. For truly harsh conditions such as coastal houses or pool rooms, step up to SUS316 for better chloride resistance. Both are solid stainless, not coated over a cheaper base metal.

We rate it for typical frameless shower doors - 8-12mm tempered glass panels up to full-size shower door dimensions. Instead of one weight number, the reliable rule is two hinges per standard door and three for tall or wide panels. The heavy-duty version uses a larger, thicker body and wider clamp plates than our standard hinges, so the load spreads over more glass surface and the pivot takes the strain of heavier panels. The hardware is also sized for repeated use, so movement stays smooth longer. For a standard single shower door the regular hinge is enough; heavy duty suits bigger panels and high-use bathrooms.

We offer Brushed Bronze, brushed nickel, chrome, gun gray, and custom colors. Satin finishes like brushed nickel and gun gray are the most forgiving in a bathroom because they do not show fingerprints and water spots as clearly as polished chrome. The finish sits over the stainless body, so even if the surface is scratched, the metal underneath will not rust.
