One strip carries a magnetic insert and the matching strip carries the ferrous counter-part. When the door closes, the two profiles pull together along the full height and hold the door shut, while the PVC lips close the gap so water can't track out. That is why frameless doors use these instead of mechanical latches — no exposed hardware, and the seal pulls the door square.

No — the material is specifically formulated PVC for shower use: it resists yellowing, cracking and deformation, which is what kills ordinary strip in humid bathrooms. The color options are light blue, matte black and transparent, and they stay stable over time rather than going chalky or stiff. UV exposure is not a real factor indoors; the main enemy is poor-quality PVC, so we use a stabilized compound.

Yes. The strip is cut to length for your door height, so for a project order just give us the door sizes and we'll deliver pre-cut pieces or long lengths to cut on site. Yes — the profiles are designed to slip over the glass edge or into the channel of frameless door systems. The soft PVC lips conform to the glass edge and the magnet keeps the two leaves engaged. To be sure the profile matches your glass thickness and edge design, send us the glass thickness and a photo or drawing of your current strip cross-section and we'll confirm the fit.

The magnetic strip handles the vertical closing edge between the two doors (or door and fixed panel). It does not replace a bottom seal — you still need a bottom sweep or pivot seal where the door meets the tray, because water pools there. If you want a full sealing package, we can supply the matching bottom seal as well.
