This handle has a lock — what type of lock is it?
It is a cylinder lock built into the handle body, so the pull handle doubles as the door locking point. Tell us whether you need a keyed lock, tool-operated, or a specific cylinder brand and we will match it. The lock body is stainless and fits the double-sided back-to-back handle.
Does the lock work from both sides?
Yes. It is a back-to-back double-sided handle, so the cylinder is accessible from both faces of the door. One side can be key-operated while the other uses a thumb turn or second key, depending on the cylinder you specify.
What glass thickness does it fit?
It clamps through the door glass with threaded posts. Confirm your glass thickness when ordering and we will supply the matching post lengths so both handle sides pull tight. The lock mechanism itself sits in the handle body, so glass thickness does not affect lock function.
How is it installed on the door?
Two or more holes are drilled through the glass, the two handle sides are joined by the posts, and the bolts are tightened from the outside. Holes must be drilled before tempering — we supply the template so the lock cylinder aligns correctly on both faces.
Is the handle and lock set suitable for a commercial door?
Yes — this combination is used on office, shop, and hotel glass doors where the entrance needs to be locked after hours. The stainless body and through-bolt fixing handle daily traffic, and the cylinder can be changed out without replacing the whole handle.
